These are the 4 blocks in the quilt. Assembling them is another matter.

I thought I had the main blocks finished...... sewing away, got them all lined up to push through the machine............... after the last one I look on the floor and there they are........ ALL OVER THE FLOOR.........

I ran out of bobbin thread after the first block and didn't see it.............
Easy Street step 5. We must be getting close to putting the pieces together. I finished these today and am caught up for now. We will be taking the rest of the week for Christmas visitors and visits. Merry Christmas everyone!

I had to play catch up this week. Saying I was under the weather is an understatement. Darn cold kept me from anything but sleep for almost a week. I believe I am caught up now. All the steps are here except the 4 patches. They were in the bottom of the box.

With the lull in activity around the sewing machine and everything else, the technical staff also took the week off for some catch up on their snoozing.

Quality control noticed there wasn't much to control so also took the week off to enjoy some extra relaxation. Happy to say we will all be back on the job with the next clue by the weekend. EASY STREET COLORS..................MAYBE.......... ONE HAS TO GO. Purple, green, turquoise or orange. The mystery calls for purple, green and turquoise. I wasn't sure I could do purple again so soon after the PURPLE HAZE fiasco so was going to change the purple to pink or the orange. Bonnie's mystery starts the 23rd.... Hopefully I'll have my mind made up by then.Pat H.http://www.blogger.com/profile/04206697918630301857noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725145744194561236.post-7612707036974336832012-11-11T22:17:00.001-08:002012-11-11T22:17:15.327-08:00

BOW TIE QUILT.

This was quilted a few years ago by Gloria Kirk Hanna. All of the quilting was done free hand. I finally got the binding on this weekend. I have so many just waiting for the bindings that's going to be my project for this winter. Must get at least one more finished before starting anything new.

I've got two weeks. New Bonnie Hunter mystery starts Nov 23. Fabric colors will post in a few days. Maybe with another quilt already or half bound. :)

It doesn't seem like it's been almost a year since I posted any quilts. There are a few little quilts that went to a friend for her daughter. They're little doll quilts. It's been a long year, most rooms have been under construction for the huge remodel so no sewing has taken place. Work is almost done for a few months and the place will be livable but not quite finished. Back to sewing soon. Rooms were gutted, new dry wall, floors, windows in some rooms and all new wood trim ..... every where! OH all new electric from the box to the all the outlets. So happy to get rid of all that cloth covered wire.

Curtains are temporary window covering until the room is completely finished and furniture is in place. You can see that not all the trim is in the living room yet.Pat H.http://www.blogger.com/profile/04206697918630301857noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725145744194561236.post-19132979703405210652011-06-15T06:54:00.000-07:002011-06-15T06:54:20.867-07:00RED AND WHITE QUILT

A quick update on the RED AND WHITE quilt. I ran out of star point blocks so need to make a few to finish the borders. I found it in Jan issue of McCall's Quilting. These are the blocks. and the stars are made with the sashing. This is as far as I've gotten. It's a large quilt, seems to work up easily and quickly. Simple piecing. Makes a great quilt.
